What counts as a deal?
A low price on its own tells you nothing. A fare that would be a bargain to Dubai could be terrible for a short hop to Paris. So instead of looking at the price alone, we compare every fare with what that route normally costs for similar dates.
When a fare drops well below its usual level, and the journey itself is reasonable, it becomes a deal. The biggest drops, including the occasional error fare, go to the top of the email.

Frequently asked questions
Is FlightLayer free?
Yes. The weekly deals email and all of our route guides are free. We earn a commission from some of the travel sites we link to, which never changes the price you pay.
Do you sell flights?
No. We find and explain deals, then link you to the airline or a booking site where you buy the ticket directly. Your booking, payment and any changes are handled by them.
How do you decide something is a deal?
We compare each fare with what that route normally costs for similar dates. A fare only counts as a deal when it is well below its usual level and the journey is sensible — reasonable stops, connection times and total travel time.
Why do you ask for my home airport?
So we can send you fares that depart from somewhere you can actually get to. A great deal from Glasgow is not much use if you live in Bristol.
Why might a deal be gone when I click?
Cheap fares are often limited to a handful of seats and airlines change prices many times a day. We check deals before sending them, but the best ones can sell out within hours, so act quickly if you see something you like.
