Why FlightLayer exists

Finding a good flight price shouldn't require checking the same search every morning for weeks. Yet for many UK travellers — especially anyone flying long-haul to see family, or planning a big trip once a year — that is exactly what it takes to avoid overpaying.

FlightLayer takes that job on. We track fares from UK airports, learn what each route normally costs, and email you when something is clearly cheaper than usual. Alongside the alerts, we publish long, practical route guides and travel guides so you can make sense of a deal and book it with confidence.

What we focus on

We concentrate on routes from UK airports where good information is hard to find and fares move a lot: long-haul trips to South Asia, the Gulf and South-East Asia, as well as popular holiday destinations. Our route guides currently cover flights to Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Dubai, Manila and Bangkok, with more to come.

Our standards

• No invented deals. Every deal is a real fare we found and checked. We don't inflate discounts or show made-up "was" prices.
• No made-up numbers. Our guides explain how fares work without fake statistics or invented reviews.
• The full picture. We show the stops, travel time and anything you should check — like baggage — not just the headline price.
• Clear about money. We earn commission from some links. It never changes your price, and we explain it openly on our affiliate disclosure page.
